Robert Henderson

Meet Robert Henderson: A Chartered Physiotherapist with a passion for golf.

Robert qualified as a Sports Rehabilitation Therapist in 2020 and since then he has qualified as Physiotherapist in 2023 from Northumbria University. Outside of Physiotherapy, Robert plays golf at his local club Hexham Golf Club. His passion for golf started from a young age but started to take things seriously at the age of 15. Throughout his Physiotherapy degree, Robert played on a golf scholarship at Northumbria University and now competes in county and national golf competitions. Over the years of practising and playing, Robert started off with a handicap off 22 progressing down to a +1 handicap.

Robert would like to share his passion for golf with physiotherapy by helping golfers along this journey to overcome their barriers with treatment, rehabilitation, and sport specific training to help meet their golfing goals.

Robert leads our golf fitness group classes that will focus on different elements of golf fitness including classes that will focus on strength; speed and power; mobility and balance; and classes to focus on key body areas used within the golf swing.
