Qualifications:

My qualifications include completing an MSc degree in Physiotherapy at Brunel University, a BA Hons. Degree in Kinesiology & Exercise Science at York University, a Rehabilitation Therapist certification, a Diploma in Acupuncture, a Diploma in Sports Massage (level 3), an Advanced Professional Diploma in Health & Wellbeing Physiology, and a Personal Training & Pilates certification.

My passion for fitness and wellbeing has always stemmed from a young age in Canada, competing nationally both in gymnastics and karate.  Inherently, this gave me a unique perspective on “knowing what it takes” both mentally and physically to compete at high levels.  Regardless of age, performance levels or personal goals, these experiences have helped me to understand the subtleties of simplistic movement, alongside complex movement patterns in order to bring out the very best in each one of my clients’.  It is my absolute dedication and passion for human performance which is the driving force behind my success and the success of my clients.

My Fitness & Wellbeing Philosophy:

The foundation of my fitness & wellbeing philosophy entails unifying the importance of a healthy lifestyle, nutrition, and fitness regimen. Each program is specifically tailored towards the client’s lifestyle and fitness goals, while ensuring instructional techniques are safe, concise, and progressive.

My philosophy is focused on perfect technique and mechanics, and building and strengthening the body from the ground-up (legs-truck-extremities). Above all, I am a firm believer is creating a fun and empowering atmosphere, motivating my clients to achieve their absolute best.

My specialty is providing fitness seekers with a unique and fun approach to exercise: Functional Training. Functional Training integrates the concept of “Freedom of Movement”. “Freedom of Movement” promotes whole-body, multi-directional movement used in everyday life, emphasising heart-healthy cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance/toning, muscular strength, core stability, and flexibility, scalable for all abilities and fitness levels.  Additionally, I incorporate Pilates based mat work exercises, focusing on posture and balance, core strength and stability, and flexibility.
